Collector Hold Program

The Collector Hold Program is designed for collectors who want to build their collection over multiple purchases and have their orders shipped together in one consolidated shipment.

Instead of paying shipping on every order, you can keep eligible orders on hold with us and request a combined shipment when you're ready.

How Collector Hold Works

1. Place your order on The Hobby Buddies website.
2. Select Collector Hold as your shipping/fulfilment option.
3. A ₹15 holding & handling fee will be charged for that order.
4. We will keep the order safely aside and mark it as being held under your Collector Hold.
5. You can place additional orders and choose Collector Hold again.
6. You can have a maximum of 5 active orders under Collector Hold at any one time.
7. When you're ready to receive your collection, contact us and request Ship My Collection.
8. We will combine your eligible held orders into one shipment, wherever practical and safe.
9. We will calculate the actual packaging and shipping charges for the combined parcel.
10. Once the final shipping amount is paid, your combined collection will be packed and shipped.

🔒 Please Choose Carefully Before Using Collector Hold

Collector Hold is intended for confirmed purchases.

Once an order is placed under Collector Hold, the order is considered confirmed and locked for fulfilment.

Because we are physically setting your purchased items aside and managing them separately from our available stock, we cannot treat a held order like an open shopping list.

For example, if you have a car in a previous Collector Hold order and a new car arrives later, you cannot ask us to remove the previously purchased car and replace it with the newly arrived car.

Similarly, you cannot:

• Swap one item from a held order for another item that becomes available later.
• Remove an item from an existing held order and replace it with a different product.
• Cancel an individual item simply because you found another item you prefer.
• Cancel a Collector Hold order because you have changed your mind.

Please select Collector Hold only when you are 100% sure about your purchase.

If you're unsure about a product, we recommend reviewing the product details and making your decision before placing the order.

Any product-specific cancellation, refund, or availability situation will continue to be handled according to our applicable store policies.

Collector Hold Fees

A ₹15 holding & handling fee is charged per order placed under Collector Hold.

This fee covers the additional handling, order management, storage, and consolidation involved in keeping an order aside for combined shipment.

The ₹15 fee is non-refundable.

The fee remains applicable even if you later choose to ship the order separately or do not ultimately use the combined-shipping facility.

Maximum Active Orders

You can have a maximum of 5 active orders under Collector Hold at any one time.

Once an order is shipped, cancelled, refunded, or otherwise closed, it will no longer count toward your active-order limit.

If you already have 5 active Collector Hold orders, you will need to request shipment or otherwise close an existing held order before placing another order under Collector Hold.

Holding Period

Each order can be held for a maximum of 60 days.

The 60 days is calculated from the date the individual order is placed under Collector Hold.

We recommend requesting shipment before the earliest held order reaches its 60-day limit.

The Hobby Buddies may contact you when your holding period is approaching its limit. If we are unable to reach you or the holding period expires, we may require the held orders to be shipped separately or take another reasonable action based on the circumstances.

Shipping & Packaging Charges

Collector Hold does not include free shipping.

When you request your collection to be shipped, we will calculate the final charges based on the combined shipment.

The final amount may include:

• Courier/shipping charges
• Packaging materials
• Additional protective packaging where required
• Any applicable shipment-related charges

The final amount depends on the combined parcel's weight, dimensions, destination, and packaging requirements.

Consolidating orders may reduce your overall shipping cost, but a specific saving cannot be guaranteed.

Combining Orders

We will make reasonable efforts to combine your eligible held orders into a single shipment.

However, orders may not always be physically combined if doing so could compromise product safety, packaging integrity, parcel size/weight limits, courier restrictions, or other practical considerations.

Where necessary, we may split a collection into multiple parcels and inform you of the applicable shipping charges.

Order Cancellation & Refunds

Collector Hold does not change the normal cancellation, refund, or product-specific terms applicable to your order.

If an order is cancelled or refunded in accordance with our applicable policies, the ₹15 Collector Hold fee remains non-refundable.

If an item becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled by The Hobby Buddies, the applicable product amount will be refunded according to our normal refund policy. The Collector Hold fee may be treated separately.

Responsibility for Held Items

We will take reasonable care of products while they are being held.

However, Collector Hold is intended as a short-term order consolidation service, not as a long-term storage facility.

Collectors should therefore request shipment within the applicable 60-day holding period.

Important Notes

• Collector Hold is available only for eligible orders/products.
• ₹15 is charged per order, not per individual product.
• A maximum of 5 active Collector Hold orders are permitted.
• The maximum holding period is 60 days per order.
• The ₹15 holding & handling fee is non-refundable.
• Collector Hold orders are confirmed purchases and cannot be modified, swapped, or cancelled simply because your preferences change.
• Items cannot be exchanged for newly arrived stock after an order has been placed.
• Final packaging and shipping charges are calculated when shipment is requested.
• Collector Hold does not guarantee a particular shipping cost or saving.
• Orders may be split into multiple parcels where required for safe or practical shipment.
• All other The Hobby Buddies order, payment, refund, shipping, and product policies continue to apply.
